This project, covering 2024 to 2026, aims to investigate the resilience strategies of the creative industries faced with the COVID-19 pandemic. Building on the CEAS' previous research on organisational resilience and the creative industries, this project will explore lessons learned from the UK experience in responding to the pandemic to prepare for future crises and contributes towards developing an impact case for the Research Excellence Framework 2029.

Commenting on the award of the research grant, Dr Khlystova said:

"The project team will develop a road map of specific steps and measures that firms in the UK creative industries can apply to level up their resilience. It will bring novel insights into the resilience and adaptability of the creative industries to external shocks."

The British Academy Leverhulme Small Research Grants are designed to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. The funding has been granted to academics working at around 100 Institutions across the UK, with Henley Business School having a proven track record of being awarded these grants in prior years.
